Givenchy Beauty: Welcome to Charlotte’s Neiman Marcus

Photo from Neiman Marcus

There’s a new brand in town and I couldn’t be more excited.  Neiman Marcus in Charlotte introduced Givenchy Beauty to their store last week just in time for their Fall 2017 Beauty Event (which is online and in store through 7/17/17 – here is my prior post about the event).

Givenchy Beauty isn’t found in many stores making it quite exclusive.  The luxury brand with a bit of edge has a design which is all about couture fashion.

The House of Givenchy was founded by Hubert de Givenchy in 1952.  Audrey Hepburn was Givenchy’s first client, becoming his good friend and muse (she wore Givenchy on and off the screen).  The fragrance, L’Interdit, was created for Miss Hepburn’s exclusive use and eventually offered to the public.  Givenchy Beauty’s color line was founded in 1989 and later a skincare line was added

Items I’ve previously acquired have either been ordered online or received as a gift with purchase.  Here are a few items I’ve tried:

From left to right:  Rouge Interdit Vinyl Lipstick (reacts to the pH of the lips, creating a unique color), Le Rouge Lipstick in Rose Dressing (which oozes luxury with its leather case, rich pigment and semi-matte finish) and Le Rouge Perfecto in Perfect Pink (an enhancing lip balm in a beautiful pink leather case).
