During the winter months my skin craves a cleanser that’s gentle and easy to remove while still being able to multi-task (removing makeup, etc). Yes, I have expectations even if it’s a basic cleanser. I try to keep one in my arsenal year round for at least my morning cleanse.
The Oz Naturals Ocean Minerals Face Cleanser is my latest find and it’s a winner. This formula was designed to be used by anyone – including skin that is sensitive, dry, rough, damaged and/or blemished.
The key ingredients are Ocean Minerals, Rose Hip Oil and Vitamin E. The Ocean Minerals (listed as Ocean Mineral Complex and (MSM) Methylsulfonylmethane) are new to me so I had to do a little research. Based on what I’ve read it’s my understanding they are beneficial in many ways which includes nourish and repair. Think about it… if you take supplements then minerals are usually included because they’re important to the body. Rose Hip Oil is listed as Organic Rosa Canina and Vitamin E as Tocopheryl Acetate.
About the brand:
Co-Founder and Certified Esthetician, Angela Irish, launched OZ Naturals as a company that embodies everything she’s passionate about — healthy skin, anti-aging, natural ingredients, and utilizing the latest technology to formulate the highest quality skin care products on the market.
The products are Cruelty Free, Vegan, Gluten Free, Alcohol Free (ethyl alcohol), Paraben Free, Sulfate Free, mineral oil free, lanolin free and Made in the USA in a state of the art, FDA registered facility.
I’ve also tried their Matrix 6 Mega Bright Eye Gel (read about it here) and it’s also a nice product. I know someone with puffiness under her eyes so I gave her my eye gel and she loves it (she notices a difference when she doesn’t use it).
The Product and My Thoughts:
As you can see in the photo above the Ocean Minerals Face Cleanser is a clear lightweight gel. When I add water to my hand (you don’t need much!) and mix the two it turns slightly frothy (not sudsy or foamy). It applies easily to the skin and removes in a snap. This cleans without stripping the skin – no tightness here. There is a light scent but it’s just the ingredients.
This is a cleanser that I’ll keep on hand year round. I recommend giving this product a try if you’re interested in a natural, gentle yet effective cleanser. It can be purchased on Amazon at this link.
